Vice Presidents Supporting Cricket

The S&BCC Subscribing Vice Presidents group was founded 22 years ago by our late and deeply respected President, Ken Standring, ably supported by Eileen who remains a committed supporter of the SVPs. Its aim is to allow people with an affection for S&B to contribute financially to the ongoing success of cricket at Trafalgar Road, whether they are still active members or not and indeed many are no longer Southport residents. Ken's vision has translated into funds of over £28000 being raised since the inception.

This has been used to support some major projects, including the new outdoor nets, the refurbishment of the indoor school, alongside coaching, outfield maintenance and a host of smaller but significant improvements to the experience of playing and watching at our County-standard ground. In these straightened times, my intention is this year to fund both the hanging flower baskets around the ground and support our Ground Chair with a number of improvement initiatives.

Donations can be as small or as large as you wish, there is no set amount, and every donation will help us make a difference to everyone's enjoyment of the game at Trafalgar Road. I will keep donors updated through the season with news of our progress, team news and plans for progress. Our bank details are noted below.

I feel honoured to have been elected to succeed Ken and will do my utmost to protect our beloved club, our favourite game and the memory of SVPs past and involvement of those present.
